The animated adventure of everyone’s favorite lasagna-loving cat, “The Garfield Movie,” starring Chris Pratt as the iconic feline, is set to hit theaters on May 24.
In the newly released trailer, viewers are introduced to Garfield’s journey from an abandoned kitten to a pampered pet. However, his comfortable life takes an unexpected turn when he reunites with his long-lost father, the street-smart cat Vic, voiced by Samuel L. Jackson. Garfield, along with his canine companion Odie, finds himself embroiled in a hilarious and high-stakes heist orchestrated by Vic.
Directed by Mark Dindal, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillén, Brett Goldstein, and Bowen Yang.
Pratt’s casting as Garfield was announced in November 2021, with the actor expressing his excitement on Instagram. Since then, anticipation for the film has been building, with Pratt teasing fans with glimpses of the movie’s poster and promising an unforgettable summer movie experience.
